I'm loving May books. I ordered the calendars. I found them off of Mrs. V's busy bees and I bought two. Groupon is having a great deal on these right now. You can order two for 25.00. If you ordered two off of  their site it would cost you about 40. 00. They 're so cute and you can personalize them. I ordered them as a gift for a couple of my teacher friends. Farley they do have MUSTACHE ONES. They are super cute and I thought of you!

I can't wait to use my crayon sharpener. All the crayons go so dull in my room by  November so this will keep them sharp all year!! YIPPEE!!

Teacher Tips/ New Blog Design

The first year I taught, a mentor teacher taught me this trick and I just thought it was the best idea ever. Every year I give the students a number. On everything I write their number. Pencils and each individual crayon. How many times have you found a crayon on the floor??? Well this helps solve that problem. If you notice on every crayon is their number. (I know I'm a little OCD) All I have to do is pick up the crayon and know exactly who's crayon it is. It helps with those kids that lose all of their stuff by the end of the year. No crayon in my class gets thrown away because we know exactly who's crayon it is. It's funny how it teaches them responsibility too because they don't want their number called out when someone finds a crayon or pencil.

She is doing a linky party on telling crazy things about ourselves. In the picture above My favorite cousin Katie and I are at a live show of Studio 5. It's a local show that I love. They do lots of crafts and tips. You should totally check it out.They have a website. I watch it almost every day and I was so excited to go to a LIVE Show of it. I live in Utah and yes I'm a Mormon. I love my faith and I'm so grateful to have the gospel in my life.

This is my cute daughter Karly. I have an OBSESSION with CLOTHES and when I had my daughter it was like playing Barbies all over again. I love dressing her and finding different things. 

These are my pride and joys. Karly and Noah. I love finding  different hats to put on my children. I love the cupcake hat. 

I have the an obsession with parties. I love to throw parties. All my relatives think I'm CRAZY because I want my kids birthdays to be PERFECT.  I have a way of STRESSING myself out preparing for them. They all roll their eyes at me, especially my husband. 

Every year for Halloween I do a theme with my children. This is last years picture of my two kids. 

These are my BEST FRIENDS. I don't see them enough. I need more girl time. They were all my college roommates. Who would have thought that we would have all got a long and became such good friends. 

 My friends and I always have the craziest parties this was one of the many. This was my birthday and they each took a picture of me and took gum and decorated the picture. They turned out pretty CRAZY! We voted on the best. I think the one that won was the Medusa at the bottom.

Pedicures are the BEST! Every summer I get one. 

This was a life long dream of mine. My husband took me to Hawaii. It was AMAZING!! However while we were there my daughter decided that would be the best time to learn how to start walking. I was so sad I missed that special moment with her.

These are from the time I went skydiving. It was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life. I got up in the plane and decided I didn't want to do it anymore. Too bad for me they made me jump anyway. Skydiving is more exhilarating than any roller coaster I have ever been on. 

Must have picture books

I'm linking up with the Teacher Wife she is having a must have picture books linky party. I made a little twist on mine because so many of my favorites have already been chosen for the back to school season. My kids lately have been consumed with telling me what they want to be for Halloween. So Halloween has been on my mind a lot lately. So I thought I would tell you about my top 4 must have Halloween books. 

We actually just checked this book out from the library. I know a Halloween book in July??? But my kids love to hear all stories no matter what season it is. This story is so funny and your students will crack up when you read it to them. It's about a little boy that wants to be an alien for Halloween. He doesn't want anyone else to steal his idea. However when he gets to school he finds out almost everyone else is an alien. When he gets his costume out he realizes his sisters costume is in the bag instead of his. You'll have to read this book to find out what happens. My kids loved this book. 

This is a cute story about a pumpkin that rolls down the hill and how everyone tries to stop it. There is a cute surprise ending.

I love this book. Wittilda is trying to become a pizza delivery girl and she has to beat out her competition to win the job. 

Sorry the picture is so blurry. The librarian at my school reads this book to my students every year. They love it. She actually sings some of the parts in the book and gets the kids to do actions with the story. This is a really fun read aloud. 

Groop dealz

I don't know if you're a member of Groop Dealz  These little clothespins are on sale right now. I thought the picture of the student's work would be a great way to display student's work in my classroom. They are reusable too because you can just erase their name.  They are on sale right now 5 dollars for 5. I'm off to buy some for my classroom.
